Hamish started in Rural and Lifestyle Real Estate in 2004 after a career in agriculture, hospitality, and insurance.
Having sold his South Canterbury farm (deer and beef), he began looking for his next opportunity and found himself in real estate. The rest is history - he got busy, built a strong business, and developed a loyal following.
An opportunity arose to move back to North Canterbury, where he originally grew up, to be closer to family. He still has two brothers farming in the area.
Now, Hamish and his wife, Jane, live on a small lifestyle block they are developing, focusing on growing their own food and becoming as self-sufficient as possible. When they’re not busy working, they enjoy walking, gardening, tramping, hunting, fishing, and catching up with family and friends.
Family is incredibly important to them. With their children now grown and living in both New Zealand and overseas, travel has also become a priority. They really do grow up quickly!
Hamish is now part of Property Brokers, based in Rangiora, and services North Canterbury and surrounding areas.
